Tools required for disassembly: Torx 4 screwdriver, plastic tool such as a guitar plectrum or credit card.
First remove your back cover, battery, sim and memory card.Use a hair dryer or hot air gun to heat the chrome bezel. Then use something like the edge of a credit card, to lever free the bezel, starting near the bottom of the phone.Carefully lift the bezel away from the phone.With the bezel removed, your phone should look like below. Next remove the 8 screws circled below. The two at the top and the two at the bottom of the phone are silver screws. The other four screws are black. Make sure the screws go back in their correct place.Now lift the battery compartment over, from left to right. The battery compartment will still be attached by a ribbon cable, so be careful.The battery compartment should now be loose but still attached by a ribbon cable. The connector for this cable, circled below, needs to be disconnected. This attaches like a plug and socket, so just lever it up to unplug.The battery compartment should now be free, as shown below. Two more ribbon connectors, circled, need to be disconnected. Each attaches like a plug and socket so just lever them up to unplug. Another ribbon connector, circled below, now needs to be disconnected. Again, this attaches like a plug and socket, so just lever it up to unplug.The circuit board can now be lifted away, as you can see below. To remove the LCD screen, lift it carefully from the point circled then pull the screen in the direction shown by the arrow.With the LCD screen removed, your phone should look like below.The earpiece can be levered free and replaced if needed.If you want to remove the frame from the touch screen, heat around the edge of the screen using a hair dryer or hot air gun for approximately 60 seconds then use something thin and flat to lever the two parts away from each other.With the touch screen and frame separated, your screen should look like below. The buttons will now also be loose. Disassembly is now complete. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
